
Rutland Water is the biggest man-made lake in Europe. This internationally famous nature reserve is managed in partnership with Anglian Water and the Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust and provides one of the most important wildfowl sanctuaries in Great Britain, regularly holding in excess of 20,000 waterfowl.
Rutland Water just east of the county town Oakham it not too far, from Leicester to here just need 30 minutes by train. This lake was built in 1976, and it has a 40km circular track for wailing and visitors can rent a bicycle, it’s not very expensive. Imagine, at a nice weekend riding a bicycle under the blue sky and around this lake with your friends and appreciate the scenery which the lakeside. How comfortable!
